A friend of mine sent me this ‘punctuation funny’ earlier today. It’s likely that a few of you have seen this before (judging by the number of entries I found on the Net when I Googled it to see if I could find out the source) but I enjoyed it so much I decided to repeat it here anyway.
Dear John:
I want a man who knows what love is all about. You are generous, kind, thoughtful. People who are not like you admit to being useless and inferior. You have ruined me for other men. I yearn for you. I have no feelings whatsoever when we’re apart. I can be forever happy–will you let me be yours?
Gloria
Dear John:
I want a man who knows what love is. All about you are generous, kind, thoughtful people, who are not like you.
Admit to being useless and inferior. You have ruined me. For other men, I yearn. For you, I have no feelings whatsoever. When we’re apart, I can be forever happy. Will you let me be?
Yours,
Gloria
I tried to find out who wrote it, but all I could find was a publication which reprinted it in 1998 – i.e: (CBE Views 1998, Vol 21 No.3: l00) with the kind permission of Council of Biology Editors, Inc.)
Cheers
Marg
